1. What do you like best about being a Tutor-Mentor?
Being able to share my students’ triumphs as they come to feel more confident in their learning is the best part about being a Tutor-Mentor. That feeling of pride as you drive home after a successful lesson is the most rewarding, and it’s incredible being a nurturer of someone else’s empowerment.
2. What subjects do you enjoy teaching and why?
I enjoy teaching VCE English and Literature because they reward those who revel in thinking and reasoning about the world we live in.
3. What is your favourite moment as a Tutor-Mentor?
My favourite moment as a Tutor-Mentor would be when you see the pieces falling into place for your student who doubted their own abilities, and they are then rewarded for it in the results of their assessment.
4. What advice would you give to new TutorBright Tutor-Mentors?
Tutoring is the most rewarding for those who are curious about their own learning. Tutoring is as much a path of development for you as it is your students. It’s the best form of personal and professional development around!
5. What quote would you use to describe your life motto?
“The future belongs to the curious of mind.” – Unknown
